Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Sophie is a 3yr spayed female, boxer mix, 45lbs, utd (up to date) with vaccines,
heartworm negative (like all of our adoptable pets). Sophie is crate trained, and has with training assistance, learned to walk on leash, sit, and stay. Sophie is a very shy (you might call her a true introvert) and very loving girl; she seems to be more trusting of women and children more than men initially. She does best with meeting a few people at a time; she is not comfortable with lots of people surrounding her. Dog parks are not a place for her as she is not comfortable around all dogs or lots of dogs.
Sophie is most comfortable around dogs that are older and laid back as they seem to be little threat to her security and comfort level (high energy dogs and dominant dogs frighten her and cause great anxiety). Sophie would do well living with an older and calm dog to help build her level of comfort and trust with other dogs, and then her true playful personality will shine bright.. she has lots of playfulness to share !
She can be a bit protective of her yard, and seems to be shy around strangers; however, she does enjoy human companionship once she feels safe with them. When Sophie feels “safe and secure” with you as her caretaker and leader she will be your very loyal and best friend.
