Keller's Story...
Keller is a very sweet, male Pekingese who is approximately 12 years old. He is blind in both eyes but his lack of sight doesn’t slow him down a bit! He is very smart and has already learned how to navigate his foster home. He can easily find his bed (where he snores very loudly), and knows exactly where the water bowl is. He uses sounds to find his people and doggie friends. Keller loves to play with toys, especially squeaky toys and chewy bones. He is very friendly and cuddly. He gets along well with dogs and cats and loves all people. Keller is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped.

Adoption fee $150.00

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Keller, a Indianapolis Pekingese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pekingese for sale in Indianapolis, or seeking a Pekingese dog from a breeder in Indianapolis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Indianapolis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Indianapolis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pekingese breeders who help with Pekingese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Indianapolis paves the way for another one to be saved.
