found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.
12/1/15 We separated the babies from Polkee since they were old enough to wean, but she was still letting them nurse. Well, she fell apart and became frantic. I put her pen next to the babies but they became frantic to get to each other. We consulted the vet and we decided that Polkee got pregnant so young and she was suddenly alone. We decided she had to be kept with at least one of her babies, so Tiny Dancer is going to stay with her. They can only be adopted as a pair.
Update: 11/10/15 This little mama is such a darling. She has learned that Cheerios are wonderful treats and she comes to the edge of the pen when she see me for a pet and some Cheerios. I have to medicate her twice a day which she does not like, but she will just sit there while I struggle to pick her up due to arthritic hands. I am amazed she is so patient with me. Mom is not sick, but one baby had an infected eye and they were so tiny the vet treats mom and they get the meds in her milk.
She is teaching herself to use the litter box very well now that she has one.
Orignal intake post:
We only know that this little girl has a litter of 5 babies that are about 4 weeks or less on 10/29. The poor thing has been moved around a lot and might even be pregnant again already. She has a vet visit coming up as soon as we can get an appointment for her. Momma is taking it all pretty well considering how much is changing in her life. Watch for updates.
