Tallahassee's Story...
Hi, I'm Tallahassee! My siblings and I were found when we were only 2 weeks old and still on the bottle. I don't know what happened to our mama cat, but the person who found us tried to take us to a shelter. They told her they would have to euthanize us if she left us there, so she called St. Francis instead. So glad she did, because our foster mommy says we are VERRRRY special and super sweet kitties! I love playing with all my siblings, but I also make a special point to come cuddle in my foster mommy's lap when she comes in - I want to soak up as much love and attention as possible from my hooman! My foster mommy says i have the most adorable back toes - they are like black and white candy canes! Foster home is fun, but I hear forever homes are the bestest. I hope to meet you soon! Maybe you'll consider one of my siblings too! Love, Tallahassee

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tallahassee, a Tampa Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Tampa, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Tampa.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tampa already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tampa breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tampa paves the way for another one to be saved.
