Hunter's Story...
This fluffy ball of handsomness is Hunter, a 2 year old long haired tiger that is hoping for a loving family to offer him the home of his dreams. Hunter was a stray that was roaming around a neighboring town for quite some time when a resident noticed this beautiful boy outdoors day and night in all temperatures and conditions. Someone was obviously feeding him but didn't care enough to bring him indoors and out of the cold. The resident took him in and brought him to safety and it seems to be just in the nick of time. Hunter was getting a little beat up on the streets and had an injury to his third eyelid that looked to be from another cat. His injury was treated and Hunter was giving lots of good meals, warm beds and plenty of TLC. He is absolutely loving life now and can't get enough attention! Hunter is a total mush that just wants to be held and comforted. He is a big baby and when a loud noise scares him a little, he dives into the arms of his caretaker for protection. He is such a sweet and loving boy and he just loves everyone he meets. He doesn't even seem to mind other cats and Hunter would transition easily into any good home with a family that will love him forever and never toss him out into the cold again. File#25762 11/18/15

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hunter, a Forked River Domestic Longhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Forked River, or seeking a Domestic Longhair cat from a breeder in Forked River.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Forked River already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Forked River breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Forked River paves the way for another one to be saved.
