My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

SAKIHTA - means "Love it, Keep it" in Cree.
Sakihta is a 1 ½ year old female German Shepherd cross that came into our rescue with her 6 puppies. She is fully house trained, and loves all dogs. She also gets along well with cats. However, due to her past she is very shy when first meeting people. If you show kindness and attention to other dogs while around her she will slowly get more comfortable. Her foster mom has been working very hard on her leash training, and while she is reluctant to leave the safety of her house and yard once she gets through the gate she becomes more comfortable. She is not sure about children and will keep her distance but will let them pet her. Sakihta is looking for a forever home with a family who will be willing to work with her and help her overcome her shyness!
