PIYAK's Story...
PIYAK
means number 1 in Cree.
PIYAK is a female german shepherd cross that came in with her mom SAKIHTA. Approximately 3 months old. Piyak is a very playful, loving girl. She loves playing in the snow, and will follow you around (unless she's up to no good!). She is crate-trained and has been working very hard on her house training. Piyak gets along great with other dogs, and is curious about cats but very gentle.

Piyak is now available for adoption. To inquire about, or arrange to meet her, please email our adoption coordinator at:

Why Adoption is a Great Option

PIYAK, a Winnipeg German Shepherd Dog puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Winnipeg, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog puppy from a breeder in Winnipeg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Winnipeg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Winnipeg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Winnipeg paves the way for another one to be saved.
