Loretta's Story...
Hi All...I'm Loretta and I'm an active, playful girl and I like to snuggle, too. I did well with the 2 children and 2 other dogs in my home, and I love car rides. When left alone, I was confined to one room and kept myself entertained by chewing on shoes. So we can work on that. My person indicated that I know to go to the door when I need to go out and the only accidents I had occurred when a lot of company came over and I got excited/nervous and peed. Please talk with an adoption counselor about ways to manage submissive urination. I'm still just a puppy so who I become depends on you. Consistent and realistic expectations, lots of love and praise and regular exercise and play time WITH you, will help me become my best self and your best dog buddy ever. Hope to see you soon!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Loretta, a Evansville Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Evansville, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Evansville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Evansville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Evansville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Evansville paves the way for another one to be saved.
