My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My Name is "Sammy". I was found running on Rt. 78 in Newark a few weeks ago. A nice couple pulled over and got me into their car. They called Newark Humane Society and were told that they are a kill shelter, and there are soo many here without homes :( I was then accepted by a rescue on that day.

They cleaned me up (as you can see I was a mess when I was first found). Go figure, they found I was microchiped. They called my owner of 7 years and was told my is "Sammy" and I was bought at Shake a Paw in Union 7 years ago.

I'm a Lhasa-Poo born May 8, 2007.

My owner moved to Georgia and left me with a guy named Mike. She didn't even know his last name...one year of my life is unaccounted for. I was left abandoned on the highway as every rescue knows, we don't gravitate to highways, unless we are abandoned there :( So now I'm in the market for a new place where I won't be dumped when my guardians grow weary of me.

I chase felines in my foster home as entertainment, need encouragement to come to you in fenced yard, I need to feel safe first.....Just need a little patience and TLC. I like to play ball but for some reason I'm afraid of the other dogs in the house - I freeze when they're around. I just can't help myself. I am neutered and up to date with my shots. I promise to be a good boy and will love you with my whole being. All I ask for in return is a safe place to lay my head and a small piece of your heart.
