Snowbaby's Story...
This striking white lady has a tiny little smudge of gray on her head and a black-spotted nose (it looks dirty but it's not!). She is an exceptionally laid-back cat. Pretty fearless and unflappable, she's not even afraid of the vacuum and has never met a stranger. And she purrs, purrs, purrs. She's happy being scooped up in your arms, and is great with other cats and with kids. Smart and self-assured, this former momma cat (now spayed) loved nursing her kittens and even those that weren't hers. Snowbaby is currently fostered in Huntsville, AL. She is felv/fiv negative, up to date on vaccines, spayed, and micro-chipped. Her adoption fee is $25 and all applications are reviewed in the order they are received so fill out your app today at www.forrescue.net/cat-application/

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Snowbaby, a Homewood Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Homewood, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Homewood.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Homewood already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Homewood breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Homewood paves the way for another one to be saved.
