Boots's Story...
Boots is a very handsome young adult boxer. According to his previous owners he is only 1 years old. Boots is a tall boy and weighs around 65 lbs at his current healthy weight. He was surrendered to a local shelter due to divorce and came to RCHS because he was not doing well there. Boots loves all people and other dogs and has the energy level you would expect from a young boxer. Boots knows sit but needs some help with leash manners and jumping up. He has not yet been cat tested and we aren't sure yet what his indoor manners are like. Check back in a few days for an update on how Boots is fitting in!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Boots, a Manhattan Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Manhattan, or seeking a Boxer dog from a breeder in Manhattan.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Manhattan already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Manhattan breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Manhattan paves the way for another one to be saved.
