CHEETO's Story...
CHEETO is a young shepherd/hound mix pup found rescued from an abusive situation in a rural area. We estimate his date of birth to be May 2015. He is neutered, fully-vaccinated, de-wormed, heartworm negative and current on flea, tick and heartworm preventives. Cheeto currently weighs about 35 lb. and will likely mature to be about 45 lb. He has a sweet, friendly, very affectionate nature and loves to play. He likes people of all kinds and is great with other dogs. Cheeto is house-trained and walks on-leash, although he still pulls a bit. He is smart, eager to please and very trainable. He now knows commands for "sit", "stay" and "come". Cheeto is very active, so he needs a place where he can run and play. He adores his people and is quite obedient for a youngster who's known nothing but neglect. He would delight in a loving home environment with a nice fenced yard and people who want to spend time with him. This is a courtesy posting. This dog is not affiliated with P.S. I Love You! Animal Rescue but is fostered by another party. For more information, please contact Janel Miller at dogrefuge@gmail.com.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

CHEETO, a Glastonbury Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Hound (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Glastonbury, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Hound (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Glastonbury.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Glastonbury already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Glastonbury breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Glastonbury paves the way for another one to be saved.
