Annie's Story...
This is Annie. Annie was found as a stray by her foster mom who has had her since that time. Unfortunately after much effort, he old family was not found and so she is looking for a new one.

She is estimated to be 2-3 years of age. Foster mom describes her as having a very sweet personality. She has adjusted well at their home and has integrated well with them and their other pets, but she can be shy and timid with new people. Because of this, her new family will need to understand that she will need some patience and time to come around. A home that could dedicate extra attention to her in the beginning would be very beneficial as well. Fast movements can startle her so we recommend she not go to a home with young kids. Annie does well with the other dogs and cats in the home. Her foster mom thinks that having another dog in the home of similar size would be good for her. She did not chase the cats at all and is "more of an observer". She is potty trained and walks very nicely on her leash.

Annie's adoption fee is $175 which includes age appropriate shots, spay, microchip, and heartworm testing. Please contact us at kcpetfinder@hotmail.com to meet this sweet girl.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Annie, a Overland Park Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie for sale in Overland Park, or seeking a Border Collie dog from a breeder in Overland Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Overland Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Overland Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie breeders who help with Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Overland Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
