Lucky's Info...

I am already spayed, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Lucky's Story...
Lucky found herself in the shelter through no fault of her own. When she went to be spayed it was found that she had a life threatening hernia. After the hernia was fixed she stayed at the clinic and we found out just how sweet and fun she is. She deserves a special home where she will be treated like a queen. She is about 5 months old. (Dec. 15) She loves to play. Her latest thing is to run and jump as high as she can.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lucky, a Hazard American Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Shorthair for sale in Hazard, or seeking a American Shorthair cat from a breeder in Hazard.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hazard already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hazard breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Shorthair breeders who help with American Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hazard paves the way for another one to be saved.
