My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Moose was found as a stray and is still a little underweight as a result of his plight. He is super sweet, well behaved and just wants to please. He needs a caring forever home to call his own for the holidays. He would love a yard to run around and play in.

Name: Moose
Age: 2013 - 2 yrs approx.
Gender: Male
Weight: 58 lbs.
Mix/Purebred: Shepherd mix (maybe lab or husky) We do not DNA test.
Housetrained: Yes
Crate trained: Yes
Heartworm Negative/Positive: Negative
Spayed/Neutered: Neutered
Micro chipped: Yes, very good
Good with other dogs: Yes
Good with cats: Appears to be good with cats
Good with children: Very socialized-loves people/children

Moose is very good riding in vehicles and being handled by people and loves being loved on. He does not pull on leash nor does he try to escape from the yard. He bonds quickly to people and is a happy-go-lucky type of dog.

He sleeps soundly at night and always pleased to see his people. Moose is the perfect age to train and would be a star student in training class. He would do well in agility, obedience or even in tracking class...he has a good nose on him. He responds best with positive rewards, petting and yummy treats.

During his lonely time on the streets he contracted the NON CONTAGIOUS puppy mange and is being treated currently. He will continue treatment until it is gone. We have had many dogs come in the rescue with this and it is not a worry and 99% of the time is goes away after treatment. He still likes to be petted, have tummy rubs and get kisses and he gets that everyday at his new foster home- but he would really love a family of his own to give his love back to.

He is a beautiful soul so if you feel like he might be a match and you can be his forever family, please apply and come out to meet him. It's easy to fall instantly in love with him.
