Missy's Story...
Missy is a 3 year old girl who loves to cuddle, be petted, and is very free with her kisses. She was found walking the streets of Philly and picked up by Animal Control. Missy was microchipped and had to stay at the shelter an extra 10 days while staff worked on finding her owner...with no luck. While there she contracted kennel cough and was quarantined until she was well. Missy has been through many transitions in a relatively short period of time. Her new family will need to take things slowly in the beginning, but will be rewarded with a very loyal, loving companion...who is also quite pretty! Missy's challenge is that she prefers not to play or interact with other dogs. What we have observed is that she will not initiate a problem but will lip curl if another dog approaches. After her experience as a stray, she wants to keep her humans to herself which would need to be managed if there is a fur sibling. No children under 12. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Missy, a Frederick Rottweiler dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rottweiler for sale in Frederick, or seeking a Rottweiler dog from a breeder in Frederick.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Frederick already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Frederick breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rottweiler breeders who help with Rottweiler rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Frederick paves the way for another one to be saved.
