Please consider that many of these dogs have been abandoned, ignored by their previous owners, or turned in to a shelter, having little interaction with someone who cares about them. When adopted, they will need time to adjust to the changes in their life.
Roman is a handsome adult GSD, about 6 years old. He knows his commands and is a very loyal and protective dog. His foster mom reports that once you earn his trust, he is your shadow. Roman will need to go to an experienced GSD handler who doesn't have a lot of people coming and going on a daily basis. Roman has made great strides in his foster home with his foster mom who is a strong handler with consistent rules and routine. Roman loves to go for his daily run with the rest of his pack and he can do well with other dogs if supervised so as to redirect him if he gets overstimulated during play activities. Once he earns your trust (treats work great here), he greets folks with a wagging tail - ready for his next adventure!
Although we do our best to keep our adoptable animals page as current as possible, not all the animals you see may be available . We get dogs often, so get your application in, and we will do our best to match the best dog to you and your circumstances.
