Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Donner and his eight brothers and sisters arrived in Chicago during the first winter snowstorm, so we named them after Santa's reindeer! The pups were about 9 weeks old Dec. 2, and just weaned. Their mom, Elsie, a forty-five pound very sweet shepherd mix, is also available for adoption. Donner's dad is unknown, so only those willing to take pot-luck in terms of Donner's ultimate appearance and size should apply!
Donner is very friendly and outgoing, and loves people and other dogs. He has typical puppy energy and would do well with a playmate, either human or 4-legged. He is well on his way to being house trained. Because he is so young, he will need someone home during the day to finish his house training. He will be ready for puppy school soon, another adoption requirement.
You can meet Donner at Wilmette Pet Center, 625 Green Bay Road in Wilmette, during normal business hours (847-251-6750). Although he is so cute you will want to take him home on the spot to make your holidays complete, please note you will have to submit an application for adoption, and that we can't guarantee he will still be available.
Donner’s adoption fee is $375, which includes a vet exam, DHAPP (distemper combo) vaccination, bordetella vaccination, microchip, deworming, flea and tick preventative, heartworm preventative, and neuter.
