Ivy's Story...
Ivy is one of three German Shepherd mix sisters looking for her forever home for the holidays. All three of these beautiful 3 month old girls are super sweet, social and friendly. They get along well with the two resident dogs in their foster home. They have large paws and will likely be over 60 lbs. when full grown.
If you are interested in one of these cuties, please submit an application that can be found on our website 1luckydogrescue.org. You can also contact Nancy at 925-846-9381 or nancymoore016@gmail.com and tell us a little about yourself. A home visit will be required prior to adoption.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ivy, a Pleasanton German Shepherd Dog/Australian Shepherd puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog/Australian Shepherd for sale in Pleasanton, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog/Australian Shepherd puppy from a breeder in Pleasanton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Pleasanton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Pleasanton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog/Australian Shepherd breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog/Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Pleasanton paves the way for another one to be saved.
