Sophie's Story...
If you have never pet soft, floppy Puggle ears, you are missing out! Sophie is a such a sweet, adorable little Puggle. It seems like Sophie's life before MAS Rescue wasn't the best. During the first few days in her new foster home, she was very scared and shy. She is slowly learning that being a snuggle Puggle is fun, going for walks is an exciting adventure, eating good food is fantastic, and being pet, cared for and loved by humans is the best!! Sophie absolutely LOVES toys; she will play by herself, with her foster dog brother and sister or with her foster humans. She gets along very well with other dogs. I think she would be best suited for a family with older kids since she is a little shy and timid. She is a wonderful little girl who is looking for a patient, caring fur-ever home.
Sophie is 2-3 years young, spayed, micro-chipped, current on vaccines, and house-trained.
If interested in adopting, please visit www.masrescue.org and click on "Adopt Here". The adoption fee is $250.00. Please Note: 100% of all the adoption fees collected are used to care for the animals, and pay our ever increasing vet bill. We appreciate your interest in adopting from a rescue organization. We understand the desire to meet our "cuties" as soon as possible, but because we operate entirely out of foster homes, we need to limit visitation to approved applicants only. Once your completed application is submitted by you and approved by MASR, we will be glad to schedule your visit. This dog has been examined by our vet, spayed or neutered (if not previously done), vaccinations updated, heartworm negative, and has been microchipped. Breed Selection is 'Best Efforts' given by shelter staff, veterinarians and rescue volunteers. NO guarantees are implied. Dogs benefit greatly from Obedience Training - and we encourage you to check out http://www.pupsdogobediencetraining.com/ . They offer a great discount for training of dogs coming from MAS Rescue! Please note that small breeds are not well designed for families with young children as everything about them is more delicate and will require careful handling. Remember adoption is a commitment for the lifetime of your new furry friend; dogs could live 15 years or more!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sophie, a Baltimore Pug/Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pug/Beagle for sale in Baltimore, or seeking a Pug/Beagle dog from a breeder in Baltimore.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Baltimore already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Baltimore breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pug/Beagle breeders who help with Pug/Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Baltimore paves the way for another one to be saved.
