My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Pasha will be at adoption event this Sunday February 21 at Petco in Southington from 11-3pm. Come down and meet her

When the night has been too lonely and the road has been too long And you think that love is only for the lucky and the strong Just remember in the winter, far beneath the bitter snow Lies the seed, that with the sun's love in the spring becomes the rose - from 'The Rose'
The road for our Pasha has indeed been long, lonely, and arduous. Pasha is a sweet loving beautiful one year old white hound mix weighing 35 lbs. Her journey prior to rescue is mostly unknown but we know she ended up in a high kill southern shelter in deplorable condition. Ironically this most likely saved her life. She had multiple infected wounds believed to have been from an attack. She was unloved, uncared for, and discarded like yesterday's trash. We just knew in our heart of hearts that this little girl was special and had the will to live and with love would give it all she had. As fate would have it, Pasha found herself in the perfect foster home with a foster mom who just happens to be a nurse and nurse Pasha she did! After several weeks of tender loving care and some good medicine from the doggy doctor, Pasha thrived and transformed into the beautiful pup she is today. Pasha has continued to impress all with her recovery and adjustment to living the life of a well loved and cared for pooch. She is sweet and gentle with people big and small. She loves her foster siblings and lives harmoniously with the resident cat. Her foster mom says she is a calm, loving, happy go lucky girl. Pasha is crate trained and has done very well with her house training (she even learned how to use a doggy door at a friend's house!). She is already spayed, up to date on all vaccinations, and current on preventatives. Love is not just for the lucky and the strong but Pasha sure was lucky and thankfully strong enough to start her journey to forever happiness. She has very much been that seed far beneath the bitter snow, and now with lots of love, Pasha is indeed....the rose.
