Hi! I'm Sampson, but my foster mom calls me Big Muffin. Although the shelter had me listed as a Great Pyrenees Mix (probably due to my size), my foster mom did a DNA test on me, and I came back as 87.5% Anatolian Shepherd (which actually makes a lot more sense). I am a healthy 110 lbs now, thanks to my wonderful foster parents! So my new family will need to be able to handle a big boy!
I'm a very funny boy who loves to play and is eager to please. I get along great with other dogs, big or small, but it takes me a minute to warm up to new people. Once I get to know you though, I'm a great friend to have! I'll accompany you on any outdoor adventure and I love the car rides to get wherever we're going. I like to have a job to do, so I'll carry a back pack so you don't have to carry one on our walks. I love to explore new toys and I enjoy bones as well. I like to take them all out when I'm ready to settle in for some chew time and chew on all of them! Due to being so big, and my natural protective instincts, I will need a home with a 6' fence or higher. I'm also fully trained and am so smart, I can sometimes even anticipate what you're going to ask me to do. I'm just a gentle soul looking for a quiet home life and plenty of outdoor adventures with just me and my special person. Is that you?
Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes that every pet should find a wonderful, caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask that you fill out an adoption application form so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application we receive and will contact you as quickly as possible. A home visit will be scheduled before any pet is adopted to a new home. Once a home visit has taken place and the adoption application has been approved, we will ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement form. Our adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter, veterinary exams, vaccinations, microchipping, and foster care, enabling us to save more lives!
Adoption fee is $80 and covers microchip, DAPP, Rabies, Heart Worm test and spay/neuter.
If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application here . We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process!
Please email ARRColorado@gmail.com for more information, as we can not accept calls at this time.
Our adoption process is:
1. Fill out our Adoption Application online.
2. We'll contact you to schedule a home visit.
3. If the pet looks like a great match, fill out our Adoption Agreement online (or Foster-to-Adopt Agreement), pay the Adoption Fee, and arrange to pick up your new furry family member!
