Tessa's Story...
Bio*: Hi I'm Tessa! I'm not sure why I look scared in my pictures because I'm a very happy little girl! My foster mom thinks I'm probably less than a year old and I only weigh 6 lbs! I'm full grown and will always be a small girl. I'm great with other dogs but big dogs scare me a little. I'm great with cats and kids too! Did I mention I'm house trained and quiet as a mouse in a crate? My foster mom puts me in a crate while she is at work so at night she lets me sleep in her bed! I love to snuggle and stay nice and calm all night! Do you need a new friend around your house?

I'm up to date on vaccines, spayed, microchipped and heartworm negative. I'm currently fostered in Huntsville, Alabama but I'm not picky about where I end up as long as I'm loved :) Email info@FORrescue.net or apply directly for me at http://www.FORrescue.net/dog-application

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tessa, a Homewood Chihuahua/Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Dachshund for sale in Homewood, or seeking a Chihuahua/Dachshund dog from a breeder in Homewood.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Homewood already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Homewood breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Dachshund breeders who help with Chihuahua/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Homewood paves the way for another one to be saved.
