My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sugar was an owner surrender to the Roswell Animal Shelter when SWARF brought her into rescue. She’s the perfect size dog, full grown at about a year and a half old. Our best guess is that she’s a chihuahua x. Despite her mystery breed, one thing for sure is that this girl has a superpower.... flying! She can jump right over a 6' fences with Grace. Baby gates? No problem!
Sugar sometimes shows her affection and excitement by way of gently “numbing” on people’s hands. She doesn’t bite at all, or even nip, but to categorize it appropriately, we’re just calling it “mouthy”. Her foster mommy is working with her to knock that off and to mind her manners better. Sugar is very receptive to correction and an incredibly smart girl! She has a masters degree in snuggling ;) Sugar is kennel trained, potty trained, knows sit, stay and the command “go to your area” for her kennel. She’s playful but can snuggle and be mellow when told. Gets along wonderfully with all other dogs of all sizes and is good with cats. LOVES children, but with her bouncy feet and “excited mouth” we think she might be best in a home with older children. Her foster home has 9 and 12 year old children that she does great with. Sugar would love nothing more than a family of her own!
