Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Who wants a great smile to come home to? Well meet Nikko he is a beautiful, easy-going 7-year-old Akita. He found himself in a North Carolina kill shelter through no fault of his own after his owner passed away. He is neutered, and an extra-large boy at 100 lbs, but could stand to gain a few pounds. He is very friendly with people and gets along with dogs after a slow introduction. He is currently being fostered with 4 female dogs and gets along fine with everyone. Nikko is up to date on shots, was wormed, and successfully treated for heart worm. He is completely housebroken and rides well in the car. He doesn’t like being crated but is left loose in his foster home and is not destructive at all. He’s a low energy guy that is happy to go for walks, and hang out with his person. He does not get on furniture or the bed - just likes a dog bed. Nikko certainly has some good years ahead of him and he would make a wonderful friend. Please fill out the BigEastAkitaRescue.net adoption application if you are interested in Nikko.
