My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Diesel's story:

Grace was contacted by a woman who had two Rottweilers that she could no longer keep. David James, a Rescue Coordinator, met and evaluated the two dogs, Roxie and Diesel...mother and son.

The dogs had been living in the backyard for an extended period of time wearing heavy duty collars to keep them from escaping. Both dogs received a very good temperament evaluation, and Grace said YES to accept them into the rescue.

Diesel is a teddy bear of a male who craves attention. He is 3 years old and weighs just over 100 lbs. He is very strong and would benefit from lead work and house training. His Guardian Angels are working on this now. He lived outside for a long time and will need help readjusting to being an indoor dog.

He is reportedly good with other dogs and children. He takes treats gently, knows the sit command and readily "shakes" for treats with his mammoth paws. He shows no food or toy aggression. He may have had no exposure to toys as he doesn't seem to know what they are.

He has not been cat tested.

He is microchipped and up to date on his vaccines.
