Alana's Story...
Look at this beauty!
Alana is a stunning 3 year old Walker Hound weighing in at 65 lbs. This girl is as sweet as they come. Her temperament is so lovely that the shelter she came from gave her the prestigious title of dog tester.
Alana is very tolerant, enjoys being active but also can be very relaxed.
Alana would love to have a fenced in yard and a loyal family that will give her the love she deserves. As you can see by one of the photos, she gets along with all size dogs!
Please fill out our online adoption application at K9newlife.org if you would like to meet her!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Alana, a Virginia Beach Hound (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Virginia Beach, or seeking a Hound (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Virginia Beach.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Virginia Beach already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Virginia Beach breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Virginia Beach paves the way for another one to be saved.
