My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Courtesy Post

A scrumptiously cute cat who longs for his very own home, Wallaby is one of the sweetest cats you could ever meet. Weighing in at 13 lb, he is big and sturdy but has a loving, submissive personality. Although Wallaby is currently kenneled in foster mama's basement, it is very obvious that he is extremely grateful to be inside and purrs the second he sees a human. He gets along well with other cats, and with dogs.

Wallaby's foster mama found him with a leg injury about a year ago and nursed him back to health. During this time, he was neutered, ear-tipped, and received his rabies vaccination. As his appearance indicates, Wallaby survived a rough life on the streets. His ear has scar tissue from his outdoor life, and it will permanently stay flipped up. He also tests positive for FIV. Despite his past hardships, he is extremely happy and healthy today.

Wallaby is fully updated on vaccinations, neutered, microchipped, dewormed, and had his dose of revolution for the month. He is ready for his forever home!
Thank you for sharing.

FIV+ cats can safely live with FIV- cats as long as everybody is spayed/neutered and a proper, slow introduction is made. Unlike FeLV, FIV can only be transmitted through deep bite wounds, mating, or across the placenta. Many FIV+ cats live full, long lives.
