Louie's Story...
Louie is a 2 year old (DOB 11/2013) lab/pointer x. SWARF rescued him from Roswell Animal Shelter. Louie is a high energy dog who loves to run, play and go for long walks! He is super friendly and loves all the attention and pets he can get. Crate trained, walks good on leash and loves other dogs! Louie is extremely athletic and has a very high vertical leap, but even with that talent, he doesn't climb or jump fences. Louie has a great overall personality and is very smart. He is receptive to training and corrections. He would love nothing more than to have a family of his own!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Louie, a Corrales Labrador Retriever/Pointer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Pointer for sale in Corrales, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Pointer dog from a breeder in Corrales.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Corrales already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Corrales breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Pointer breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Pointer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Corrales paves the way for another one to be saved.
