Gavin's Story...
Gavin is one of our favorites here at Home Free! He stares at us with his big brown eyes, begging to play or go on a walk, and we just can't refuse. He is a curious 2 year old american bull dog / pit mix who loves his time out in the yard, loves to smell and sniff on his walks and loves to run. He would make a great walking, running or hiking partner. But when exercise time is over, he also loves to put his head in our laps for scratches. He is a sweetheart who loves all people. He was in a foster home for a while, and got along well with children there. He also seems to like most bigger dogs, but he might be a bit too playful with smaller dogs and cats. He has good house manners and seems to be house trained as well. Please come meet Gavin -- he has been waiting to meet his new family for a while!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gavin, a Newport Beach American Bulldog/Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Bulldog/Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Newport Beach, or seeking a American Bulldog/Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Newport Beach.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Newport Beach already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Newport Beach breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Bulldog/Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Bulldog/Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Newport Beach paves the way for another one to be saved.
