Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

Charlie's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, in need of an experienced adopter, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Charlie's Story...
He is about 8 years old, fully vaccinated, neutered, and crate trained. He likes to ride in the car. He likes large and small people, always grinning, craves belly rubs. He needs some leash work as he strains to get where he wants to go and he is strong. The ideal place for him would be in a home with a fenced yard, another dog, perhaps a doggy door. Also, someone who will not give in to his food cravings. If you are interested in adopting Charlie-2, please email us at: americancockerspanielrescue@yahoo.com, and we'll put you in touch with his foster mom.
People interested in adopting a dog from SD should send a note which includes information about home, family, yard, fence, other pets, work situation, and a vet reference. Notes like "How much is this dog?," "Is this dog available?," "I'm interested in this dog" will not be answered. We are serious about our placements and hope you are too. Adoption fee is $100, trial period available.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Charlie, a Salem Cocker Spaniel dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cocker Spaniel for sale in Salem, or seeking a Cocker Spaniel dog from a breeder in Salem.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Salem already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Salem breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cocker Spaniel breeders who help with Cocker Spaniel rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Salem paves the way for another one to be saved.
