Rock's Info...

I am already neutered, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Rock's Story...
Rock is solid! He's a big guy with a nice hefty feel to him :). His personality is solid as a rock as well. He doesn't get upset - he's patient with other cats, and seems fairly indifferent to dogs. It's hard to ruffle this guy. Knowing his past, we sort of understand. He lived for three years outside a local business, making do any way he could. The employees felt three years of that life was enough - and now he's an indoor cat in the care of a Friends of Rescue foster home. He's loving it too - no doubt, he knows things are looking up! If you'd like to meet him, please complete the cat application (no obligation) at www.FORrescue.net. We'll call you asap! Thanks. Rock is Felv/Fiv negative, neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and examined by a vet. His adoption fee is only $25 to an indoor home

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rock, a Huntsville Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Huntsville, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Huntsville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Huntsville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Huntsville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Huntsville paves the way for another one to be saved.
