Momma Torte's Story...
1-21-14 - This is Momma. She is the mom of several stray kittens that were living outside. They were living under a trailer and the owner wanted them gone. She is a good mom and would love to be adopted into a wonderful home. She is fixed, UTD on shots, wormed, tested for FIV/Feline Leukemia, and microchipped.

All of Mama Torte's babies were adopted but Mama has never even had an inquiry. frown emoticon she is a quiet and sweet girl. She loves back scratches and never misses any meal time. Mama is probably 4 or 5 years old. She was living underneath underneath house trailer with her babies but the owners didn't want her around. She is no trouble at all so we can't imagine why she wasn't welcome. If you need a quiet companion , maybe Torte is the one for you. Email us at or message our page here. Thank you and please share!

Please contact us if you can rescue or adopt her at Our foster homes are really full. We were closed to intakes but we were afraid of what would happen if we left them on the property.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Momma Torte, a Clarkson Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Clarkson, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Clarkson.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Clarkson already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Clarkson breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Clarkson paves the way for another one to be saved.
