My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Lola. My back story is a long one, so let's see where to begin..

I was adopted in 2015 at the Empty the Shelter Day, the family who took me home was not holding on to me too well when we got home. I was just so nervous of all the changes and so I wiggled and ran away. The shelter tried to catch me for three months, but I was so street smart and scared of anyone I did not know. Then one day, one of the ACOs was able to gain my trust and catch me. I was so relieved to feel a loving hand on me. While I was running the street people were not the nicest so it made my fear of people even worse. At the shelter they called the family who adopted me at Empty the Shelter day, they did not even try to contact the shelter back to come get me.. Luckily I did not have to wait long to find myself a new home. After the new lady got me we headed over to the local Petsmart, again, the big change and being with a stranger scared me, so I slipped my collar and ran AGAIN. The ACO knew I was just scared and it took another month to catch me again but, they were determined and did it. Now here I am. You are probably wondering why I told you this story, the staff said they need to make sure my potential adopters know my story. I'm not a bad girl, I just haven't had nice people in my life so it's hard for me to trust. The staff have worked a lot with me to help open me up. She said I'm doing great! I will need someone who will understand I just need TLC and time, once I trust you I will follow you everywhere you go. Once my personality shows I promise I will steal your heart just like I have with the staff here. I love sitting in laps and taking naps. Great with dogs and children, no kitties for me though. I am also housebroken.

If you can provide me with the TLC and understanding I need, I promise you will not regret it. So come see me today!
