My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Niahl is a little dog that has lived a life in a cage. Needing someone to go slow with him to show him that people in general are good and will have patience to go slow in getting to know him. He needs a confidence boost and some stability and routine. A fenced in yard will help since is is a bit on the scared side to make sure he doesn't escape. He loves the Rescue Team Members that care for him on a daily basis. He is a Terrier mix and is about 2 years old. He is very small and does well calmer, people that he will not perceive as a threat. We want to find a home for him for the holidays. We have both Rescue Team members and a trainer that will work with you to blend him into your home. Alsip To The Rescue (ATTR) strives as a rescue to make sure that when our adopters take home their new rescue they feel they have the support and access to all resources which ATTR can provide. If you want to learn how you can set your new rescue up to succeed and blend in with your family come to our Meet The Trainer sessions each weekend. We will give you tips on what to do when you first bring home a new rescue. Saturday at Noon in St John and Sunday at Noon in Frankfort are free Meet The Trainer sessions with more free sessions to be added during the week soon. We will provide free training for the family that steps up to help us get Niahl into a home. Fill out an application to meet Niahl in the Get Involved section.
