Lainey's Story...
Hello humans - my name is Lainey and I am an 8 year-ish, heavy set, female Golden who was rescued from a hoarding case. I am so grateful that someone sought help for me and my furfriends and the shelter stepped in. I am pretty over weight and my coats is in bad condition, but AGK feels when I lose the weight and have good nutrition, I will blossom into a petite Golden. I am starved for human affection and needed to ride loose in the car so that I could receive pets. Thank you, thank you, thank you for rescuing me! Lainey

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lainey, a Knoxville Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever for sale in Knoxville, or seeking a Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in Knoxville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Knoxville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Knoxville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever breeders who help with Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Knoxville paves the way for another one to be saved.
