My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

1-2 y/o female Shiba mix, no children, apts, condos or townhomes, $300

This super cute, fluffy girl was abandoned in the middle of the high prairie, but fortunately a good Samaritan found her and contacted rescue. She is a Shiba mix; we suspect that mix is Shiba Inu and American Eskimo. Akana is good with cats and dogs; she likes to play with the other Shiba in her home, though sometimes she doesn't want to share her toys. She needs a little time to warm up, but once comfortable, is very loving with adults and wants to be near her people whenever possible. If she could sit on the couch with you in the evenings, she would be in heaven!

Akana is crate and potty-trained; she has some separation anxiety and does best when crated while you are away. She loves to be outdoors and go on long walks/hikes, so would adore an active family. She does like to bark at noises in the home at times and things going by her yard, so a quieter neighborhood without constant foot/bike/pet traffic would be best.

Akana's adoption fee is $300 and includes her spay, vaccinations, de-worming, heartworm test, microchip and professional training course.
