Pip's Info...

I am already neutered, purebred, up to date with shots, not good with kids, and good with dogs.

Pip's Story...
Pip is a 6 year old, purebred Shih Tau who was rescued from the aftermath of Hurricane Joaquin. He lost him home due to all of the flooding and was not doing very well in the shelter, so he came up form North Carolina to find a home with us!
Pip loves a nice warm lap to lay on and likes to be doted on. He likes a calm household, so no kids please.
If you would like to meet Pip, please go to our website to fill out an adoption application and read about the process. www.furkidrescue.org

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pip, a Pittsburgh Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu for sale in Pittsburgh, or seeking a Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in Pittsburgh.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Pittsburgh already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Pittsburgh breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu breeders who help with Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Pittsburgh paves the way for another one to be saved.
