My story

Say hello to the cutest little pup South of the Mason-Dixon...this is SCD's Tessa!
She's a 6 month old female Carolina Dog that weighs about 30 lbs. and still has some growing to do. She's been spayed, microchipped, and is up to date on all of her vaccinations. Her foster Mom and Dad have nothing but good things to say about her!! She loves to play with her foster brothers and sisters and is quite silly when running around the yard with them. She also loves to cuddle up with you at the end of the day.....she's fine with football, dog shows, Jeopardy, dog shows, local news....and BELLY RUBS! She's got a beautiful cream and buff coat, perfect fish hook tail, beautiful almond shaped eyes with gorgeous blonde eyelashes....she's just perfect in our eyes!

We'd love to see Tessa find a home with a family that understands the breed and their energy. An active family with older children (8 + years old) and hopefully another dog she can play with....and we feel she's young enough that you could easily introduce a cat or two to her.

Tessa is one of those 'rare gems' of a dog...she adapts well to any situation and just goes with the flow. She is fine with being crated but she also loves to hang out on the couch with you :) If you think that Tessa might be the right dog for your family, please send us an email at
