Facts about Chief Chelsea

  • Breed: Domestic Shorthair
  • Color: Orange Or Red
  • Age: Adult
  • Sex: Female
  • ID#: 11359
  • Hair: Unknown

Chief Chelsea is an over-the-top friendly and patriotic pussycat who was found exploring near the local Veteran's Administration hospital by a cat-loving VA nurse who was impressed with her beauty and friendliness and amazing purr! She just had to scoop her up! She's spent some time in a loving, local foster home with other cats, and she's not quite sure about the friendly dogs in the home ~ but give her some time! She's one of the rare female orange tabbies and has just an amazing personality!

*** SPECIAL NOTE: Chief Chelsea is best friends with a blind kitten (a bit younger) named Radar and she serves as his "seeing eye cat." We would really love for a family to adopt them both, since they are so attached/bonded and because she keeps him from being scared!

Radar: http://www.cathouseonthekings.com/adoption/cat.php?id=11279&reload=yes

Adopt them both for just $75

Please note:

  • Chief Chelsea should be adopted with her best friend

About The Cat House on the Kings - Sanctuary

About Our Shelter...

The Cat House on the Kings is California's largest no-cage, no-kill, lifetime cat sanctuary and adoption center located on 12 acres along the Kings River in Parlier, California, which is in the central San Joaquin Valley, southeast of Fresno.

At The Cat House, our mission is to:
1) provide a no-cage, no-kill sanctuary for feral and abandoned cats and kittens for the State of California, primarily serving the Central Valley;
2) facilitate the adoption of cats (primarily), dogs and other rescued animals into safe, loving, healthy and permanent homes;
3) educate the public on how to become directly involved in improving the quality of animal welfare;
4) offer low cost spay and neuter referrals.

Come Meet Our Pets...

You may visit The Cat House daily, except major holidays, 1-4 pm, by appointment only. We also have an off-site adoption center located inside Petco at 4144 N. Blackstone at Ashlan in Fresno, which is open open daily 10am-5pm and Wednesday 10am-6pm.

Our Adoption Process...

All cats are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, treated for fleas and ear mites, tested for FELV/FIV and microchipped. You must fill out an adoption application and talk directly with one of our adoption coordinators. An adoption contract must be signed at time of adoption.
