Mattie's Story...
My name is Mattie and I was a stray that ended up at YOLO in Davis, CA. The shelter there labeled me as "unadoptable" because I was a puppy that acted like a puppy (jumped; a bit mouthy, but not bad). It was really stressful at the shelter and I did not hardly ever get to leave my kennel (jail cell). I was really close to getting murdered there, but so many people on Facebook were championing my cause. A really nice woman sponsored all my fees and I was saved!!!! I am now in foster in Lodi and would love to meet YOU to see if you can be my forever home. I am a fun loving dog. I like other dogs, kids and new adventures. I do need to work on my leash manners, but I just get so excited when I get to go on a walk. I also like to cuddle. Wanna be my cuddle buddy?!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mattie, a Lodi Bull Terrier/Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bull Terrier/Border Collie for sale in Lodi, or seeking a Bull Terrier/Border Collie dog from a breeder in Lodi.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lodi already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lodi breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bull Terrier/Border Collie breeders who help with Bull Terrier/Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lodi paves the way for another one to be saved.
