Honey's Story...
Honey is a teeny, tiny, tan terrier mix. She wants nothing more than to sit in your lap, or cuddle up with her brother, Phil. Besides cuddling, her main love in life is food. She’ll clean your floor like a vacuum cleaner, if you let her, and is always a willing and eager treat recipient. She’s a little bit bossy with other dogs, and with the exception of her brother, would probably prefer to be an only dog and soak up the love and adoration of everyone in the household. She is shy with strangers, and can be nippy if approached too quickly. But sit quietly with her and break out a few treats and she’ll be yours forever. Honey is 2 years old and weighs 5 pounds.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Honey, a Austin Brussels Griffon/Cairn Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Brussels Griffon/Cairn Terrier for sale in Austin, or seeking a Brussels Griffon/Cairn Terrier dog from a breeder in Austin.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Austin already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Austin breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Brussels Griffon/Cairn Terrier breeders who help with Brussels Griffon/Cairn Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Austin paves the way for another one to be saved.
