Hello. My name is Barbie Dahl. I'm about 5 years old and I weigh about 10-12 lbs. (I'm smaller and more of a reddish color)
My friend Ken Dahl and I were Picked up as strays in the Salineville area.
We had spent the past 4 months running the woods and country roads fending for ourselves and fighting off (or hiding from) predators. Nobody could catch us and we didn't stay in one particular place for too long so the pound had difficulty trying to keep track of us to try to get us.
Finally, we kind of found a place that we liked and we had been hanging out there a lot. The nice lady called the pound and had them bring a trap out to set. We were both caught the same day and we are now warm and being cared for here at the pound.
Needless to say, we are absolutely loving having a warm, soft bed to sleep on together, regular feedings and fresh water.
We totally adore one another. We would LOVE to find a home together, but it is not necessary for us to go together. We love cuddling and sleeping together. We also groom one other and just genuinely love each other's company.
We are both a little bit unsocialized with running on our own for months. We like human attention but get nervous when someone moves towards us. More or less we just need time to warm up and come to you.

I appear to be in good health. I have been given my Parvo/ Distemper vaccine and I have been dewormed with panacur dewormer.
PLEASE CONSIDER THIS DOG, AS WELL AS ALL THE OTHER DOGS AT OUR SHELTER AS URGENT. OUR KENNEL SPACE HERE AT THE POUND IS VERY LIMITED. THIS DOG COULD BE EUTHANIZED WITHOUT FURTHER NOTICE ANY TIME AFTER DECEMBER 17, 2015.
HERE AT THE COLUMBIANA COUNTY DOG POUND, WE TRY VERY HARD TO PLACE ALL OF OUR ADOPTABLE DOGS IN TO LOVING HOMES OR SEND THEM TO GREAT, APPROVED RESCUE GROUPS, HOWEVER, WE CAN ONLY KEEP OUR DOGS HERE AT THE POUND AS LONG AS SPACE ALLOWS.
MY ADOPTION FEE IS $110 CASH, WHICH COVERS MY SPAY SURGERY (WHICH MUST BE DONE PRIOR TO ME LEAVING THE SHELTER), MY PARVO/DISTEMPER VACCINE, RABIES VACCINE, DEWORMING AND MY CURRENT OHIO DOG LICENSE WHICH WILL BE HONORED THROUGHOUT THE STATE OF OHIO.
THE POUND IS OPEN MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY FROM 8 AM- 4 PM AND SATURDAY FROM 9 AM- 12 PM. WE ARE CLOSED SUNDAYS AND HOLIDAYS.
