Laurel's Story...

Laurel is a cute heeler pit bull mix. She has a short white
and brindle coat, folded ears and a long tail. She was
brought in by her owner because the owner didn’t have the
proper facilities to home her. At input on 12/11/15, she
weighs 46.8 pounds and is about 3 years old. She is somewhat timid of new people, but would make a great companion for someone willing to give her the attention she needs and deserves. She will
be spayed and brought up to date on all of her shots. If you are interested in adopting Laurel and
providing her with a good home, please contact valley river
humane society at vras1@frontier.com
or call us at 828-837-2304.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Laurel, a Marble Australian Cattle Dog/Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Cattle Dog/Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Marble, or seeking a Australian Cattle Dog/Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Marble.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marble already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marble breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Cattle Dog/Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Australian Cattle Dog/Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marble paves the way for another one to be saved.
