Baby's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, and not good with cats.

Baby's Story...
This is Baby a 3 year old Border Collie/ Aussie mix who has been with us for several months. When she came to the sanctuary she came with her brother who was adopted right away. But because Baby can be shy and fearful in new situations it has been harder for her to find a new home. Baby also is limited to the type of home she can go to because she chases cats, chickens and goats...not a good dog for a farm. She is now working with a trainer that comes to the sanctuary on Saturdays and is learning to walk on a leash and working through some of her behavioral issues. Baby needs someone willing to spend time working with her, someone who can be sympathetic to the fact that she sometimes gets frightened and someone who can help her to understand that she is ok and doesn't need to be frightened. Give us a call if you are willing to take a chance on a wonderful dog who just needs a bit of encouragement, love and understanding. 684-1475
Suggested Adoption Donation: $150.00

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Baby, a Colville Australian Shepherd/Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd/Border Collie for sale in Colville, or seeking a Australian Shepherd/Border Collie dog from a breeder in Colville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Colville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Colville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd/Border Collie breeders who help with Australian Shepherd/Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Colville paves the way for another one to be saved.
