My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Our little schnauzer couple, Sandy and Joaquin, are ready to meet that special someone that will give them the fabulous home that they deserve. They are both about 5 years old and have been through such a tough time in their young lives. Sandy and Joaquin were abandoned in a park right before a major storm. We can't imagine how someone could do such a cruel thing, but it has really taken a toll on this sweet little couple. They were just terrified when they first arrived from our Newark facility and poor Joaquin was so scared that he would actually play dead when you looked at him. After several weeks of extra attention, Sandy and Joaquin are now able to put their past behind them and move on. They both now enjoy the company of people and all you need to do is kneel down next to them and they will both quickly squirm up into your lap. They absolutely love getting attention and push themselves against you (and each other out of the way!) to get you to pet them. They have both learned to walk well on a leash though they are a bit slow at it, and they're very gentle and mild mannered. Sandy and Joaquin will need a quiet, commotion-free home where they can take their time to get settled in. They don't mind other smaller dogs but will need a home with no young children. These two are extremely bonded and will need a home where they can stay together forever. File#25619 and 25686 10/9/15
