Zeke's Info...

Zeke's Story...
I am a 23 to 24 year old wild caught Red-Lored Amazon. I do not step up well inside my cage. I do step up from outside my cage. I enjoy coming out and hanging out on top of my cage. I will go back inside my cage on my own when you tell me it's time to go to bed. If you would like more information on me contact The Center for Avian Adoption, Rescue and Education. Note: We do not ship parrots and generally adopt only within a 200-mile radius of Fargo, North Dakota. A pre-adoption home visit by a member of our adoption committee is required for every adoption. Adoptions are not first come, first served; we strive to find the most appropriate home for each parrot.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Zeke, a West Fargo Amazon was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Amazon for sale in West Fargo, or seeking a Amazon from a breeder in West Fargo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in West Fargo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a West Fargo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Amazon breeders who help with Amazon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in West Fargo paves the way for another one to be saved.
