Millie's Story...

This dog's fosterhome is located in: ****Arkadelphia, Arkansas**** Say hello to Millie!   Millie is a beautiful, long-legged girl, and weighs about 13 pounds.  She is only about a year old. Millie is very sweet and affectionate, and a bit vocal.  She barks when she’s happy to see you, and wags her tail at the same time.  She also grumbles at the other dogs who come to close to her chewies.  Because of her tendency to guard her chewies, we feel she would probably not be good with younger children.  Millie does a lot of growling when she’s playing, but will retrieve a toy and place it in your hand, so she can tug and growl some more.  She’s a little nervous at times, but greets visitors with a happy wag and loves to meet new people.  Millie is happy in a crate, or snuggled up next to you under the covers.  She does well on a leash, and rides well in the car.  She is absolutely housebroken, and uses the doggie door on her own.  If given a few days to adjust to her new home, Millie would be a devoted and loving companion! To see more photos of Millie in her foster home, click here:  http://imageevent.com/coram/millie

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Millie, a Arkadelphia Rat Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rat Terrier for sale in Arkadelphia, or seeking a Rat Terrier dog from a breeder in Arkadelphia.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Arkadelphia already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Arkadelphia breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rat Terrier breeders who help with Rat Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Arkadelphia paves the way for another one to be saved.
