Mama Lucy and the Peanuts Gang are now luckily safe and warm in a foster home. Marcie weighed 2 lbs. at 6 weeks, and is one of the smaller pups in the litter but there's nothing small about her attitude and confidence. She is laid back, but not afraid to let her siblings know when enough is enough. She loves to play and can often be found on the other end of a tug toy, tugging her little heart out. She's an explorer also, and often sets out in the opposite direction of Sally. She's catching on to the litter training. Make sure you see more pictures of the Peanuts Gang!

This gang will all be ready for new homes soon!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Marcie, a Festus Rat Terrier/Chihuahua puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rat Terrier/Chihuahua for sale in Festus, or seeking a Rat Terrier/Chihuahua puppy from a breeder in Festus.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Festus already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Festus breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rat Terrier/Chihuahua breeders who help with Rat Terrier/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Festus paves the way for another one to be saved.
