Thanks for stopping by to meet Copper! This amazingly handsome 13 pound little dude is pure puppy and pure love. He is thought to be under 2 years old. What a great addition Copper will make to any energetic, fun family. He will keep you entertained forever watching him chase around the spot from your flashlight or wrestling with a four-legged brother or sister. He's also very happy just chewing a cow hoof or snuggling with his people. He is crate trained and has learned to use a doggie door in his fosterhome with 98% accuracy....we hope for perfection soon! His sweet, playful personality is sure to make you fall head over heels in love with him. If that doesn't work, then his happy kisses will definitely win you over. Since he is young and still a bit 'mouthy', we would suggest a family with older children above 8. He has been great with the three kids he did encounter, but he has not been cat-tested. Don't wait to apply to take this smart boy home. He has a lot of love and endless hours of enjoyment to share.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Copper, a Garland Rat Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rat Terrier for sale in Garland, or seeking a Rat Terrier dog from a breeder in Garland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Garland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Garland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rat Terrier breeders who help with Rat Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Garland paves the way for another one to be saved.
